Heading toward Upper Two Medicine Lake. We finally caught McKenzie at Twin Falls. That is Lone Walker Mountain ahead. We are flanking Mount Helen to our north (right). Sinopah is on the left.
Lone Walker: Glaciers hewed its form from the Continental Divide and the Lewis Range, and, like many of the peaks here, its Precambrian rock is a bit chossy, though can form huge, steep cliffs.
No trails reach its base and the approaches involve either a bushwhack, a long ascent or a large elevation gain and loss prior to reaching the summit.
