| no partners | | | Our first time going to Crown King to try an find the Big Dipper. The hike was nice(Pretty tough coming back up with heavy packs). So we made it down to the creek, water was running very nice. I read that if you keep hiking down stream you'll run into the Big Dipper. But, no luck. We ran into a big swimming hole with steep canyon walls on each side. The water was freezing! An couldn't find a way across, except try an float our packs across...nope! We decided to wait an come back a month or two later for the water to warm up. I really wanted to hit the Big Dipper, but there's always next time! |
