Headed up after speaking with a local that had claimed over 100 trips up this gorgeous trail of switchbacks and unbelievable vistas of Oak Creek Canyon and Indian Gardens. Once above the shade of the creek, the trail becomes exposed to sun and warmer temperatures. After 30-45 minutes of rocky switchbaccks and narrow paths, the trail gets a bit obscure and thenwinds its way upward into cooler shady pines and covered trail on pine needles with cool breezes. This winds through the forest and eventually ends up at the Lookout Tower seen in the photos. An awesome hike overall...would do it again and again |
