| no partners | | | After hiking in the White Mountains for a few days I wanted a little change in scenery. Decided to make a day trip out to the Petrified Forest and quickly realized I picked the wrong day. It started pouring rain the minute I arrived and after 2 hours of waiting it just would not stop. Rather then returning back to Eager, I drove out to Winslow for the day and stayed the night hoping the weather would be better the next day. The next day the sun was back out and not a cloud in the sky when I returned back to the park. First stop was at the Long Logs/Agate trail. Made it up to the ruin and back down before completing the long logs loop for the first of 5 short hikes that day in the park. I love this place, the whole area is just so different and fun to explore!!! |
