| partners | | Janelle and I stayed in Flag after the photo workshop weekend so that we could get some climbing in. Stayed the night at a campsite nearby and were serenaded by the creaky-gate musings of elk all night long. Woo. Met up with Chris and his awesome deaf dog, Roxy, in the morning and got on some routes. I'm still amazed that I have such problems on actual rock (no issues in gym) that my hands just sweat like crazy. Even just thinking about it as I type this, they're starting to glisten with anxiety. I only did two routes, but that was enough for me. Even Roxy was concerned for my well-being, and she couldn't even hear the fear in my voice. So I just took it easy and enjoyed the smoked Gouda I brought in. Cheese makes everything way more awesome.  |
