| partners | | Pretty awesome hike. Thanks to my hiking partner Beiley, we found an small hidden alpine meadow with a pond at the top that was off of the trail. Started in the Ponderosa Pines and moved up the trail into the aspen, fir and spruce trees. Encountered some wild rasberry bushes along the way. Tried this hike once before in the early spring, but lost the trail in the snow towards the top. Pretty cool views of Mormon Lake between the trees in a few spots along the way. Trail was well kept. Steep grade coming down the last 2/3's toes jammed in my boots, but overall fun hike. Spotted deer and elk on the road to the trail head.
