| no partners | | Whoa, what a MoFo start; Forget that it's late October, East facing exposure for 3-4 mile really made for a brutally hot start.
Ken and I armed/weighted with 4 and 5 liters of water, respectively headed out at 0800. The smart hikers all avoided this trail for over a week before our entry, and today too. We only saw a few deer hunters, and those guys don't ever dismount from their trusty ATV's
Noteworthy were the obviously stressed Aspens and Pines in the Spud Rock area. The spring was dry, and the area showed the stress from the lack of water.
I did get to sit on the newer throne high compost toilet platforms to drop a deuce; almost need the assistance of a bombardier to accomplish that task. |
