| no partners | | | Today we decided to go out hiking but wanted to stay close to home. We have only lived here about a month now so finding out about this site and about Badger Trail was really nice. We got there at 3pm and left at a bit after 5pm. It was me, my hubby, and our 2 daughters 14 and 8. We did not go the whole way. We walked for a little over a mile, got to the bench, sat around for ab it, took photos, and then headed back down. The view of Golden Valley was wonderful. We saw a few rabbits and small birds. This is a great place for seeing quartz rock. At one point, a bit pass the .5 mile marker you get to this cut in the mountain and it almost looks like a waterfall of quartz on the ground. It was so pretty. We will be back to go the whole way. |
