| no partners | | I have the whole afternoon off... Hmm... What should I do? Hunt down snow melt! I suspected that Devils Canyon was running nicely. It was perfect! I've never hiked upstream beyond the bridge so I really didn't know what I'd find. My primary plan was to experiment with some soft water photography. Capturing soft water is something that I've always wanted to try. I can't remember the last time I packed a tripod on a hike. I must admit that I'm not a fan of heavily pushed "misty" soft water. My $400 P&S camera was not likely going to pull that off anyway's so no worries there. I personally prefer moderate soft water. Basically something just beyond natural is what I was hoping for. Considering that this was my first attempt, my expectations were not overly high. Beginners luck is what I was hoping for. I must have had a little in my pack.
