Paul and Pam were headed up to do some peaks and friends from SAHC, the Caley's, were already up there. We drove up and camped not far from the trailhead on Nellie Creek Road. In the morning we drove up to the trailhead at the end of the road, and saw the Caley's vehicle, so we knew they were ahead of us. As we neared the peak, we could see David and Johanna up ahead. Knowing I wanted to surprise them, Pam and Paul went ahead and engaged them in conversation. I lowered my hiking hat and walked on up past them as they talked, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. It worked; they didn't identify me! 
I went up a short ways, and turned around. I could hear David say, "Hey, didn't that guy look a lot like Randy?" To which Paul and Pam replied, "Yeah he sure did." I stealthily moved in and said, "Hey, that's David and Johanna!" It was a perfect moment! 
But that was a decade ago; I don't have that kind of energy anymore. Still a wonderful memory though!
