Hiked from CBG to CIG in about 3 hours, not including time spent meandering off-trail slightly to get some photos of a waterfall. The last mile seemed to take all day - felt like Indian Garden was right around the next corner for an hour or so. Camped overnight, then got up early and made it to the S. Rim in 4 hours, for a total of 7 hours hiking. Trail was in pretty good shape. There was some maintenance work being done on a section near the top, and overall the steps, etc. were in much better shape than the S. Kaibab. No problems keeping a steady pace, no leftover soreness from the hike down, and overall a nice trip up to the rim. Had a feast at Maswik when I was done, and then rolled myself out to the car and headed south.

I was glad to be done with the hike, but really didn't want it to be over - can't wait to go back and do it again.
