Got here nice and early - again - Free Parks day so we saved $50 between here and Zion! I still think the foreign visitors should pay no matter what. Our Parks - our taxes.
We walked around at the top for a short while and then descended down the Navajo Loop - sadly Wall Street area was closed due to recent rock falls and wash outs - bummer! But even with that out of the options we were just blown away by the sheer beauty. Strolled by Thor's Hammer as we made our way to the Canyon Floor.
For my Easter Sunday I meditated in a cave - what did you do? Had fun on this little stroll on the Canyon floor - went off path quite a bit exploring the many areas, found natural bridges, caves and generally cool things to stop and ponder. As we were fortunate to have arrived early the crowds were minimal until we started to head up the trail.
I am not a huge fan of the mule rides but the one path they have at Bryce looked kinda cool - I would do it if I found myself back there.
All in all a nice lil Canyon - visually stunning - the sun was still rising so most of my pixs are washed out but the views were awesome. |
