Fun driving up and, because of being so high up and winding around the mountain, the radio station I was tuned into kept changing as I drove, sometimes being two radio stations at the same time. It would go from modern rock to country to an 80s station. I changed it to try to fix it, picked a classical station and a Christian station kept jumping in and out.
Road was a little rougher condition beyond the summit lake, but still drivable. I guess all of the snow and stuff has taken a toll on this part of the road this year. At the top it was sleeting with a little snow thrown in. I bundled myself up and took off running to the top. Thankfully there was a break for a few minutes when I reached the top. Also did some exploring around the observatory and Crest House before the weather started up again. |
