Wonderful day hike in a less traveled part of the Sierras. Not having a GPS track or a good map led to some adventure and dead reckoning skills, but we made it out OK and saw some sights few others see. In contrast, it's almost impossible to get lost on the John Muir Trail. Came across a lake with some gill nets strung in it. Perfect weather.
