| partners | | The All Souls Procession is my favorite event all year in Tucson. A time to remember and celebrate those who have passed. People with incredible art installations, costumes and face paint line the streets and many walk a two mile route that winds through downtown. The past several years, I've carried a memorial for my cousin Nitu from India. Last year my beloved dog Zeus was added to the memorial. This year, I wanted to remember John Scott (Johnr1) so I used Tibber's wonderful picture of him riding the Dacite Tide.
It is a bittersweet event, so much happiness at celebrating together and seeing the wide range of how people express themselves, yet knowing that we each have loss to deal with in our own ways. |
