Strangest thing happened to me today. Went to the Granite mtn TH with the intention of hiking coyote canyon loop. It was overcast day which worked out well since I forgot my sun glasses. Started hiking around 8.10am and had the trail to myself. It was lovely and I can pay attention to only bird sounds and learn to distinguish them. After I passed the scenic point, on the way to join cow poke trail, a voice in my head said stop and turn around. How odd. I was surprised but had decided to honor it. So I turned around and came back thus hiking only 3 miles. Saw one biker and 2 hikers on my way back. I plan to hike it a different day.
