Bluff Springs trail was pretty easy to follow - just look for the stones marking the way. The Terrapin Trail was more difficult to follow - lost it in a couple places but were able to pick up the trail without too much difficulty. We do virtually no off trail hiking so if we can navigate it most people should have no problems. This part of the hike had the most overgrowth. Glad we wore long sleeves and pants even though it was a little hot. The Peralta trail was a nice long climb for our tired legs but we managed. And we got some nice shade on the way down after the saddle. Definitely not a summer hike so we're glad we did it when we did. Not a cloud in the sky! The previous rain and today's windy weather helped make for some beautiful skies. |
