| no partners | | We hiked the San Tan Trail (3.2 miles) and then continued along the Goldmine Trail (2.5 miles) to make one big loop. Park entrance fee is 5$. Nice restrooms and entrance station makes it completely different than when we visited in May 2004. Trails are still being completed but we found the signs easy to follow. Little blue or red markers lined the trail and intersections were clearly defined. Some plants were starting to bloom. There was a nice breeze which made pretty ideal conditions. With no shade it's definitely not a summer hike. We're looking forward to when they complete more trails with it being so close to home. All trails are multi-use but we saw only one group of horses and no mountain bikers on our hike. All in all a nice little hike close to home. |
