| no partners | | I lead a group from the Superstition Amateur Radio club up Lone Mountain today. The group was interested in getting started with SOTA and I was happy to share it with them. We had a total of 5 members on the trip 4 made the Summit. On top we all took turns operating and spent about 4 hours on the summit. We also made contact with another SOTA activator on A-1 Mountain in Flag. The group is hooked and now. They want to make this a regular activity for the club. So it looks like the 3rd Saturday of each month is going to be SOTA Saturday.
I have been asked to plan something in the Payson area for the month of May. I am thinking Turkey Peaks is a good one. Fair amount of room on top not to hot and easy to drive to. |
