Had breakfast at Strawberry Lodge; great food, local charm, and easy on the wallet. Started at trailhead around 1030AM. Reached spring after about 1 hr 30 min and dove right in. Water is refreshing after a relatively challenging hike. I would try some of the swimming holes that you encounter before the falls. They were more relaxing and pleasant than the waterfall.

Bring enough water!! The sign at trailhead says "4 quarts of water per person". That's one recommnendation I would definitely heed. We had JUST ENOUGH water, but the hike out would have more enjoyable if we had carried more water (one gallon per person should do it). Dont forget the sunscreen too.
