| no partners | | Signs along the AZT are a continuous challenge. The fiberglass posts with stickers are effective but not very "authentic" or attractive. Years ago someone developed the small wooden plaques to mount on posts or trees and these much more suitable.
The stock was dwindling so we needed more. We purchased white oak, which is very non-porous and thus lasts well in the elements, and had the computer-controlled router shop make the emblem with an assortment of directional arrows. Then a volunteer finished them. Paint, sand, cut, drill, insert screws, and sand again, 124 times.
