Spent the day helping install new artwork on the three kiosks along this passage. The first two took 20 minutes, the one north of the Gila River near Cochran took 5 hours. Battle Axe/Rincon Road did not summer well--pretty rough, drainages are deepened and steep sides, some cuts are kinda white knuckle if you are thinking that you might have to walk out. Had we been in the ATA 4-Runner I would have turned around, but the BLM Jeep did ok. Lots of talk about BLM getting a dozer in again to fix it up.
