The skeleton and the main attractions of the hike are erosion features in the rock formations that surround the trail. The skeleton isn't far off the roadway and can be reached in just a few minutes. It'll be busy during warm times of year as a photo attraction. I mean, who wouldn't want to stop at a place called "Skull Rock".
The trailhead is directly off the roadway and plenty of parking is offered. It's suitable for all ages who want to take a walk around and have a low intensity threshold. Not much vegetation compared to the rest of the Park, although the joshua trees and cholla gardens aren't too far away. |
