| no partners | | | Hike to the lakes starts at the Wolverton parking lot (same as Alta Peak). After 1.8 miles you will take the Lakes trail left (Alta peak trail goes right). You can take either Watchtower or Hump trail. Hump trail has more elevation (200ft). As Watchtower trail was closed due to ice and snow, we continued on Hump Trail. After getting over the hump (literally!), you will come across first lake, little Heather Lake. Continue pass the lake and soon you will see little Aster Lake. After that the trail leads to Emerald lake and couple campsites (and bathroom), continue forward and the trail will take you to the last lake, Pear Lake. From Pear Lake you can see the Alta Peak above. |
