Good News!!! Baby snakes are still out! :y: It's not too late to cancel your plans to go up north and take the family out to see them. :)

I combed the washes this morning with a drizzle keeping me cool this morning and came across 3 baby snakes. Temps at the start of the hike was 82F. With the light rain, the temp was 75F at the end of the hike. I didn't see anyone else in the area. I also didn't see a lot of birds either. I had to rush my shots because I was supposed to meet a friend for lunch, but she ended up canceling on me, or I would have stayed out longer.

So far, I'm up to 353 total snakes this year and have seen the most Gila monsters, kingsnakes, lyre snakes, diamondbacks, gopher snakes, coachwhips, long-nosed snakes, patch-nosed snakes, and night snakes this year, along with 2 new species for me: sand snakes and threadsnakes (aka blind snakes). :wlift:
