I was able to hit the desert before heading to work. I saw few hikers and some mountain bikers out looking for snakes too. It seems like everyone's looking for snakes this time of year.

I got a late start, but was able to find a dback and a coachwhip. Unfortunately, my camera was inoperable toward the end of my hike. I think my memory card is bad, and it stated that my lens contacts need to be cleaned. I'm not sure. I had to physically catch the coachwhip in my hat to get the photo. Now my hat smells like :yuck: from the snake urine. :?

Besides the snakes, the hike was not too memorable.
