Entered at Atikokan Ranger Station, Route - French-Pickerel-Bisk-Beg-Fern-Olifaunt-Sturgeon-Malaigne River-Sturgeon Narrows/Cutty Creek-Sturgeon-Lonely-Walter-Elizabeth-Jesse-Maria-Pickerel-French Lake.
Great fishing this time, just my Son & I went this year, everyone else stayed lower at the BWCA.
Note: Fisher maps are quite out-of-date in relation to portage lengths and campsites, paddle planner has them down pat, with pictures and correct GPS coordinates.
First day in it was near 80 degrees, last day we had snow and thirty knot winds making canoe travel interesting at best. |
