| no partners | | started from stinson beach and took the dipsea trail, then steep ravine trail up to Pantoll ranger station. sections of magical forest along steep ravine with scattered redwoods and a running creek. big ocean views on dipsea. we had a nice picnic lunch at the pantoll station then took the matt davis trail back down to stinson beach. this has nice shade, with some open grassy hillsides offering magnificent coastal views on the way down!
glorious weather. this was Sierra's hardest hike to date and she simply crushed it no-problemo. if in the bay area, i would highly recommend this beautiful loop on the slopes of Mt Tam. |
