I managed to get a great parking spot where previous posts indicated. Very jagged shale looking rock (almost appeared to be out of a scify movie). I noticed quite a few ultra runner's on the trail. I did get a bit deflated when a 70 plus woman dashed past me then a dachshund dog. Of course they both came trotting past me again on their way back down. The trail even though short had a nice bite to it.
