| no partners | | After finishing up at Glacier, I headed for Yellowstone and a quick one day hiking and sight-seeing tour of the iconic park. Mount Washburn was my first stop on this tour.
I started real early for this one (5:20 a.m.). I would have preferred to take the more traditional trail to the summit, but I took the closed road route, not knowing the difference until I neared the summit and then saw the trailhead for the trail further down the road. Nevertheless, the views were great and you can't beat experiencing first light on a mountain side. A good introduction to Yellowstone and A quick hike, as one would expect with a road route. |
