| no partners | | Started at Willow Springs TH and made our way to Triple Arch and BlackGlass Canyon. The trek thru Wishbone Junction was pleasant and then we bushwhacked our way up the ridge. The effort was worth it. Absolutely gorgeous! Made our way down to the canyon bottom and found the obsidian! So cool! Loved looking up and seeing the arch. Of course didn’t see the tiny arches until I looked back at it from downstream!
Black Glass Canyon was amazing! No waterfalls but pools. (I was kind of grateful for our dry conditions because this would have been a beast if wet!) The boulder hoping was intense. Took us awhile to navigate our way down. Thankful the hubby and I were both able to make it thru the fat mans (not) pass. I wasn’t going to be turning around!
Can’t say I’m a fan of wash/sand hiking but I was glad to get to simple walking, even better when we connected back to the trailhead on an actual trail! Will be back! |
