Morning hike with my daughter, Buddy and Joseph. We left Minturn at 0400 and were at the TH at 0530 for a 0545 start. Nice 39 degree temps at the start, so glad I wore a wool base layer.
Lots of traffic at the start, church groups, schools, and campers in the nearby campgrounds. Just a note there is only water at the stream near the trailhead. I stayed with Libby and Buddy until I got to the tree line, it was windy and I was getting cold so Joseph and I continued until the summit.

Joseph and I took advantage of this an had a nice summit naps.

He was by far the smallest Mountain Dog on trail today, is sleeping soundly now.

Side trip into Leadville for lunch at the Tennessee Pass; they’re Dog Friendly. We also stopped at Melanzana to shop.
