| no partners | | I had to get out of the house for a little Christmas exercise, and after glancing at the topo map, I noticed a nearby peak. I use that term loosely! With a name that reminded me of my typical Arizona hikes, I decided this rarely visited hill sounded more interesting to me than the adjacent state park I had previously visited.
Despite no trailhead and no trail markings, there was more of a trail cut than I was expecting to find. I think it was a boy scout project. I'm not even sure it's public land. But it gets plenty of visitation, and made for a nice quick trip to an otherwise nondescript high point.
The survey marks have been there for a while and the main benchmark is mostly illegible. With temps in the mid 20s, I did not see any Eastern Diamondbacks. Perhaps more likely in July... |
