I had never seen one there before, and I can say for sure that at 534 feet, the Sharon Tower is the lowest I've ever been to. (It's called the Sharon Tower for the town it's in, despite standing atop Moose Hill).
It was a nice stop along a quick loop hike in the wildlife sanctuary, taking the Summit Trail to the Pasture Trail to the Bluff Trail past the cistern, before getting my feet wet breaking through the ice on the submerged walkways on the Billings Loop and finishing up on Wood Thrush Way back to the nature center.
Later I went to see if the second "peak" on my Christmas Day bagging adventure was worthy of anything, but found it was only the 4th highest point in Norfolk County! |
