We met at 9am and got started about 9:30. Horsetank was wonderful as always. A few fun rappels, a few jumps and lots of swims. The Sandrock junction came too soon. Next was hiking up Sandrock. I led the first climb - trailed a rope up and set an anchor. A few people used it as a handline and we belayed up a few. Next was the obstacle that took us almost three hours to conquer last time. This time we went right up the waterfall and it was a piece of cake. Again, a rope was put in place for those who wanted a handline or belay. After that was the gully on canyon left and a traverse back to the canyon bottom. Right after that is the cruz chockstone climb. I also led that - it was a but sketchy but not too bad. I also trailed a rope up and set an anchor for the others. After that it was one more upclimb and then just a hike back to the cars. we were back at 5:30 - for only an 8 hour trip. What a great day! |
