| no partners | | Went Green & Guthrie on my dad's first Catalina mountain hike. If you combine the full Green Mountain trail with Guthrie it makes for a pretty tough 9+ mile hike, approaching 4000 feet of total gain.
There is no trail in the Catalinas that carries a warm late spring pine breeze like the Green Mountain trail. We had a blast out here today on this old standby.
There are a lot of downed trees on the Guthrie route since the last time I was out here. Winter in the highcountry will do that I guess. |
