| no partners | | I have done this a couple of times, but last week it was a bit hot so I went early. Also I didn't go up Peralta Road because of the dust and traffic. I followed the Powerline Trail out of Peralta Trails subdivision. Most of the hike was on dirt roads or bike paths. The fallen cross is on a hill SE of the Don Donnelly Horse Ranch. It is basically two telephone poles tied together to make a cross. It does look like at one time it was standing up. This is an easy hike, and enjoyable in the cooler morning. When I started it was about 72 and finished it was less than 90 degrees. I saw 6 rabbits, didn't kill them, didn't eat them! I saw 1 cow, didn't kill it, didn't eat it! I heard 7 rattlers, didn't see them, didn't kill them, didn't eat them! Someday if the meat section is empty at Fry's I might have to! Because I can't post videos here, you can see them and the pictures on my FB pagehttps://www.facebook.com/GlenFullmer/po ... 0223550313 |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate A lot of cactus and tree flowers. The Stinknet was not as prevalent as it was a couple of weeks ago, well at least as not as colorful. |
