| no partners | | Wife and the pups and I enjoyed a nice day up in the SF Peaks. Weather was perfect. Veit Springs is a such a great little trail. The aspen glades are my favorite part. There are very early signs of fall on the way, some trees even had some color, and we witnessed golden leaves falling from trees and landing on the ground. So we're calling it a fall hike.
After the hike we drove up to Snow Bowl to do our picnic and it was packed, so we gave up and headed back into Flagstaff. Along SR 180 we spotted this unsigned parking area with a restroom and one lone picnic table, so we stopped and ate there, eschewing the table for the ground (we were really roughing it). I may or may not have enjoyed a brief post-lunch snooze. |

Autumn Foliage Observation None Scant. Just enough for those desperate for fall. |
