| no partners | | we started on the south end. popular trail but not crowded at all. very nice scenery of palm springs and the big surrounding mountains with snow on the peaks. weather was gorgeous. we saw about 15 bighorns just 100-200 feet above us climbing around the hillside boulders. 
had a picnic on way back and were entertained by a huge crow/raven making all kinds of noises i have never heard them make before. maybe we discovered a secret species of mockingcrow  |
