| partners | | After some afternoon showers and relaxing at camp, we decided to set a quick shuttle and explore a 3 mile run of the bottom of Romero Creek and continue on down Trout. We put in at the 220 bridge and followed Romero downstream to the junction with Trout Creek and on to our shuttle point where the creek horseshoes just west of Bill Lee Mesa.
Along the way we skirted some private property with a few dwellings that appear to get occasional use, but also appeared to be unoccupied this weekend.
I'd like to see these drainages with more surface water and a little more green grass, but after two years of below normal moisture, this is probably as dry as it ever gets here. |
