| no partners | | Classic day hike on the rim. Lots of expansive views and very cool clean air.
We started in the am around 10 and ran into some elk along the trail. Got a late start due to camping at the Mather campground the night before.
This is a family friendly and heavily used trail. Mostly Canyon day trippers.
The day was very clear and afforded much better views of the canyon than some previous visits.
Recommended if you have visitors in town just wanting to get a taste of the canyon.
