Lake Isabel
The last 'hike' in the San Isabels of our trip is more of a walk-in-the-park, or more accurately walk-around-the-lake. Wait, what am I saying? We only walked PARTWAY around Lake Isabel. The walk lasted only as long as our patience with people in general did, at which point we took a cutoff and a shortcut back to the parking area. Plus, my hips & knees don't take kindly to walking on pavement for ANY distance... the more uneven, the better.
It was nothing personal about any of the folks we saw/encountered, it's just that after a week of no phone, no TV, and as little interaction as possible with others we missed the solitude. Besides, we're relatively anti-social to boot. |
