Nice hike up, there is no shade, so start early, wear sunscreen (which I forgot to do), and bring plenty of water. At the summit there is a benchmark in poor condition (PID: DU2227). There is also a American flag to honor veterans of foreign wars.
I also decided to venture a bit further as I saw what looked to be a flagpole on a nearby peak. It was a flagpole, and nearby there was an Arizona flag under a rock. It was probably taken down to prevent people like me from hiking over there.
On the way back up the summit with the American flag, I saw a plaque dedicated to a person named Paul who passed away. Hike down wasn't bad at all. Enjoyed the hike. |
