| no partners | | Having a rare weekday night off last night I decided to get up before the sun and make an early morning bus ride to Scottsdale. I had heard that one or both of the eagles had hanging out there recently. I got off along Hayden but did not notice anything on the power poles lining the road. I wandered into the park and made my way around the south side of the lake and up into the park, then I noticed that there was one of the eagles on one of the poles along Hayden. I then ran into Mark Koster we exchanged greetings then I went around the lake to get closer to the road. As I was taking pictures someone told me that there was another eagle a few poles down. Sure enough there was. I went and snapped some shots of it. I went back around to the east side of the lake and met back up with Mark. We were directly across from where Bandit could be seen on his pole then Misty flew over and joined him on the pole. I did not have the energy to go back around the lake to get closer but managed to get decent shots with the zoom on my camera. Later they both flew off. Eventually Bandit returned with a fish he had grabbed from the lake and began chowing down. A great morning with some goslings and ducklings thrown in for good measure. |
