Was still pretty cool coming down the N. Rim looking over the sides of the steep canyon walls partially lit by the moonlight. Cottonwood to Phantom was very dark, but it was still better to keep the headlamp off. Ran into 3 totally exhausted and severely blistered guys at Phantom regretting their decision to do R-R-R. Finally got some full moonlight taking a break at Indian Gardens. Didn't see a sole there, which was a bit surreal since it's always so crowded. Got one decent sunrise shot! Think I'll stick to day time hiking, miss the scenery. |
