Decided to get away from Somo for a change. Started from the Gateway trailhead just before sunrise. Hiked up to the crest a bit west of Tom's Thumb. Stopped to check out the glyphs by Mountain Spring on the way back.
Wildflowers are decent. Best showing on Windgate Pass trail between Gateway Loop and Tom's Thumb trail.
Only saw three people on the way up, but about 253 on the way back. Most near the trailhead. Lots of spring break families out enjoying the fabulous weather.
