| no partners | | | Great day to hit the mountainous north Pirate trails in an attempt to dodge the winds. Started from Safeway parking lot at Estrella and Elliot, crossed Estrella Parkway and found my way over to What Up via some 2 track access roads. Climbed What Up, down on Coyote, Pirates Cove to 1Up clockwise back to Pirates Cove, Scallywag up to What Up over to Hook Up, clockwise on Beam Me Up, Saddle Up, Upper Pass, Upside Down, Round Up, shortcut connector back to Upside Down, Saddle Up out to Estrella Parkway, Tunnel and Tunnel Trail to Cottontail, cross Cotton Road at the circle, Marketplace to San Gabriel Drive, behind Safeway back to van. Lots of steep rocky climbs. Passed a group of 4 bikers on Upper Pass who were good enough to let me pass as I was huffing and puffing my way up to Round Up trail. |
