Wally and I started from the Meridian trailhead around 7:00. We hiked counter clockwise. We got the climb out of the way first. Wally spotted some Javelina around the Northeast side. We counted 6-8 , I believe. Saw the first humans about half way across the north side. A few after that but not many. Trail was in great shape. Coming across the home stretch on the south side we got our first sprinkle. Petrichor!! Yeah!!
That stopped, then once more before the car. Didn't see the sun the whole hike.
Trail, weather, and company were top notch! We finished off with chili dogs from Wienerschnitzel. Yum.
