| partners | | Ginny and I took a 4 day trip from the flatlands of Lubbock to Carlsbad and Guadalupe National Park. The first day we went to Carlsbad Cavern. The caverns are a self-guided tour of 2.4 miles. We had beautiful weather the whole tour, not a cloud in the sky, fairly constant temperature but a little dark. We contemplated hiking out the way we came in so we would get a little AEG but since we were hiking to Guadalupe Peak the next day we took the elevator out. Don’t suppose we could count the 750 foot elevator ride as AEG.
The town of Carlsbad has grown quite a bit since I was first here in 1982, Lots of new hotels on the north side of town. |
