Simply the drive up into the mountains is extremely scenic, and features a couple of rumbling road-side waterfalls and vistas into the valley as you climb up the mountains.
The trail begins from a nice visitor center and a short board walk side trip to an expansive lookout into the mountain valley below.
The trail itself is amazingly accessible (strollers wheelchairs) with a solid but relatively gradual descent almost all the way to Cyrstal Shower Falls.
Normally the walk can be done as a loop, but the loop part of the trail was closed due to damage from recent torrential rains/landslides (or, as they call them, landslips).
After finishing our hike, we took the short but worthwhile drive over to a roadside lookout over Dangar Falls. Impressive. |
